One thing mine had in common is that the Big Briggs 31 and 35 hp went up to a peak at 2200 rpms and then went gradually down at 3600 rpms. Briggs Vanguard 31 hp 47.3 lbs torque at 2200 rpms. Briggs Vanguard 35 hp 53 lbs torque at 2200 rpms. Kawasaki 29 44.2 lbs of torque at 2400 rpms.

Finally got the oil pan lined up with the governor, camshaft, oil pump shaft after several tries only to find it was in a bind due to the pressure on the crankshaft pushing it into the bind. Had to remove the oil pump cover to visually align the drive shaft
