Everytime my g29 has quit, I go to assetto corsa settings and click on my setup save and hit the load button. Sometimes it gets unloaded for some reason. Steam should still be launching in the background even when using CM, at least in my experience, but that's probably not related to your issue. My wheel also once randomly stopped working
